TIP No. 33

When a child or student studies, direction can silently influence alertness, confidence, and concentration. In Vastu, facing East while studying is considered supportive because East is connected with Surya, clarity, learning light, discipline, and fresh mental energy. A student sitting with the study table on the West side and facing East may feel more awake, more receptive, and more naturally aligned with focus. South-facing study is generally avoided for children because it may create heaviness, restlessness, or slow mental response in some cases. This does not mean every child will fail by sitting South, but if concentration, grades, memory, or exam confidence is already weak, changing the study direction is one simple correction worth trying. Keep the study table clean, avoid clutter, and let the child sit with a straight back. A small morning routine, sunlight exposure, and calm study timing can further improve results. Vastu works best when direction, discipline, sleep, food, and emotional environment are all balanced together.
