TIP No. 45

Sometimes a home looks perfectly clean from outside, yet the atmosphere inside still feels heavy, disturbed, or emotionally tiring. Classical Vastu always gave importance not only to physical cleanliness, but also to subtle environmental balance. One very old household practice was sprinkling Ganga Jal mixed with rose water throughout the home. This process is traditionally started from the North-East zone and then continued clockwise room by room. The intention behind this movement is symbolic as well as energetic. The NorthEast is associated with clarity, purity, calmness, and spiritual flow. Beginning from this zone and moving slowly through the house creates a feeling of gradual cleansing and emotional freshness. Rose water adds softness, calmness, and a soothing fragrance to the environment, while Ganga Jal has traditionally been respected as a purifier in Indian homes for centuries. Together, they create a peaceful atmosphere that many families feel immediately after the practice. This can be done weekly, especially on Saturday mornings or on Purnima. However, this is a general Vastu practice. Every property has its own energy pattern, entrance influence, directional balance, and structural conditions which may require deeper assessment. At SAPANDA, we always say that Vastu is not fear. It is awareness, balance, and creating a healthier relationship between people and the spaces in which they live.
