The Northeast corner is one of the most sensitive and spiritually uplifting areas in Vastu. Traditionally, it is connected with clarity, prayer, divine grace, wisdom, and inner guidance. This is why I always suggest keeping the Northeast as light, clean, open, and clutter-free as possible. Even a small corner can become powerful when it is treated with purity and respect. You do not need anything expensive. A clean mat, a small diya or ghee lamp, a peaceful deity image, fresh flowers, or simply a neat meditation corner can make this space feel sacred. The important thing is cleanliness, silence, and regular use. Avoid dumping storage, heavy furniture, shoes, dustbins, or broken items in this area, because they disturb the calmness of the space. Sitting quietly in the Northeast, especially in the early morning, can help the mind become more settled and receptive. Facing East while meditating or praying can further support freshness, clarity, and positive intention for the day. A peaceful Northeast often brings a peaceful mind.
