TIP No. 18

Never Place a Bed in the North-East Corner

In Vastu, the North-East is traditionally treated as one of the most subtle and sensitive zones of a home. It is associated with lightness, clarity, prayerful energy, openness, and higher awareness. Because of that, this zone is usually not considered ideal for heavy sleep energy, especially when the bed occupies the North-East corner itself. When a person sleeps in that position for long periods, the room may begin to feel mentally overactive rather than deeply restful.
In practical terms, this can show up as light sleep, overthinking, restlessness, anxious dreaming, or a strange feeling of never becoming fully relaxed in the room. For that reason, Vastu generally prefers the master bedroom to feel more grounded and stable, with the sleeping position placed in a heavier, calmer part of the room rather than the North-East.
This is a general guidance point, not something to panic about. Many factors influence how a room behaves, including direction, entry, bed position, windows, clutter, and usage. If your current bedroom has limitations, SAPANDA can help identify balanced, practical corrections without creating unnecessary fear.
